Is there any way to automatically bypass this so that it boots straight into RetroPie?

Re: Retropi PiTFT Setup Error
I have been working all day to get my waveshare 3.2 to work with retropie... And nothing works. Its insane how there doesnt seem to be any working turtorials for this. The adafruit doenst work. Found another guide that got som text to come up on the display but retropie just wont start.
Why is this even a problem?

Re: Retropi PiTFT Setup Error
okay so I got the adafruit tft display you have for my b-day last year and I haven't been use it so I think it would be neat to have it for an emulation console, kinda like your doing. I am not sure where to start because you did different things so could you give me very DETAILED instructions for how to get it to work. My goal is to be able to have the retro pi to work on the screen and for it to be able to work with some Buffalo usb snes controllers.
Re: Retropi PiTFT Setup Error
The latest Adafruit PiGrrl image download solves this for me. PiTFT works without any set up problems.

Re: Retropi PiTFT Setup Error
okay I tried it and...
it worked well sorta.
I set up wifi and keyboard controls okay but I can't find the retropie menu with all the system settings stuff! Which means I can't change themes! The default one is kinda ugly

Maybe that is the problem cause that is exactly how mine looks. I f there was the retropie area (the place with all the setup stuff) then you could download themes. Does anyone know how to get the retropie area. Any help would be greatly appreciatedrbpieboy wrote:Here's what I see in EmulationStation. Missing graphics etc. - seems like there's no theme

Re: Retropi PiTFT Setup Error
Not sure if people are running into issues but here is what I did, typed into command prompt:
Select the “PiGRRL 2” option, which sets up various system parameters to match this project.
Code: Select all
curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/adafruit/Raspberry-Pi-Installer-Scripts/master/pitft-fbcp.sh>pitft-fbcp.sh
sudo bash pitft-fbcp.sh
