Looking for a nice new Case and happen to love Amiga?

Thu Aug 13, 2015 9:39 pm

This would be a special moment in geek history, if it happened.. Will you choose to be part of it?
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/a1 ... -new-molds

It has mounts for Raspb Pi among other things.. pretty cool stuff..
Ok,as you can see, time is running out, although it's pretty amazing that the goal is at ~50% with only ~360 backers (I'm one of them)
If you can't afford one, maybe you can simply help by spreading the word.
With some decent exposure, it wouldn't take a miracle to make it happen really...
(I mean, how much cash did the Shenmue III ppl get, seriously? ;-)

So what do you say folks.. Will you choose to be part of this or look the other way?

Kind regards,
eX

If you are interested in buy a case from the kickstarter project and made an AMIGA 1200 Raspberry Pi, here you can find a guide on how to build it (the design is the same).
There is a list of all the material needed, an how to and the software to make run a new AMIGA machine.

Have a look! http://www.mattechnology.blogspot.it/p/ ... a1200.html

Was a huge fan back in the day, but I don't miss the hardware one bit. I do find it rather unfortunate that companies like Cloanto hang on to the old Amiga IP, and make it more difficult for folks to emulate the abandoned machines.

But at least archive.org's TOSEC: Commodore Amiga will stick around …

You say abandoned machines? ? The beautiful Amiga is going from strength to strength and will one day rule the net, I have a 1200 Amiga and a 600 Amiga that surf the net and multitask with the best of them and is built with style long forgot by Microsoft with there motherboards that fit in to a huge case with enough memory to sink a ship so certainly not abandoned but waits patently for a moment in time best wishes Brian.

Number of new Amigas sold last year : ____ ?

Need I say more?

About a decade back, I seriously looked into getting one of the PowerPC-based Amiga boards. For less than the price of a bare G3 Amiga motherboard, I could get a G4 Apple iBook. Didn't regret getting the iBook.

Sorry my point was that the Amiga has not been abandoned whilst there's a dedicated following who will never let the old girl die ,sentimental ,yes but still a thrill to use after all these years so lets not be too quick as to condemn as abandoned, best wishes Brian.

There was another more successful kickstarter that is now officially a case producer
