List of recommended wireless keybd/mouse combo for RPi 2

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere - I have looked but not exhaustively.

I wish to buy a full-size UK keyboard/mouse combo for the RPi 2. Is there a list of possible good candidates posted somewhere?

Alternatively, can anyone whose found one that works.

I have the official power supply, the Raspberry Pi USB hub and the official Wifi adaptor.

I tried a wireless keyboard and with no success, returned it and bought a cheapie at a swap meet for $2.00. I use that keyboard and a mouse plugged into a two into one adapter so it only takes up one USB port.

I think most if not all of them work (I've tested at least 3 here, but German ones).
Some require a special setting in cmdline.txt (only if the mouse movement is very slow).

Buy the cheapest, cruddiest, lousiest, basic wired keyboard. If you spend more than £6 for a keyboard you've spent too much.

Find that cruddy wired mouse that you got free from a computer show, you know the one that looks like a car with headlights and tailights that glow blue. Use that.

Dougie's point is: Get it working with as few extraneous variables (I.e., eliminate any questions about whether or not they keyboard/mouse works) first.

Once you've done that, then try putting in the wireless stuff and see if it still works. Most of the time, when people think they have a problem with some peripheral (or other extraneous thing), the real problem is something more basic (e.g., didn't write the SD card correctly).

Note that I have not read the OP carefully, so I don't know if this specifically applies to this specific OP. But I do cringe every time I hear people saying they are having this problem or that problem with setting up their Pi (this being their first ever Pi experience) headlessly. That just seems like a recipe for disaster. Get it working with a normal, working, K, V, and M (and, most importantly, a known good HDMI cable) first. Then, if you please, try to do it over again "headlessly".

Granted, nothing explicit. But you can sort of read between the lines.
Or, to put it another way, the OP can be read as asking "What should I buy?" (starting de novo, so to speak), and both Dougie's and my advice is "get it working wired first - then consider buying something else".

FWIW, I have a Logitech K400r (which functions as both keyboard and mouse), which I like a lot and works fine on a Pi 2. I like the fact that it has a power switch rather than stupid power-save modes like others do. But, caveat, it may not work on other SBCs; I think I've had problems with it on other SBCs, including earlier PIs. My theory is that it draws a little too much power. But, as I say, it works fine on the latest Pi 2.

Sorry about the delay in responding and thanks for all the suggestions. I have had it running successfully with wired keyboard and mouse but have problems with space as I'm running it in a place with limited room (small table and work surface). So yes I am merely asking for a wireless alternative. I expect to be writing fairly long programs in Python and suspect that the small factor keyboard might cause RSI problems. At 70 years old I have to take care !

I dont really want to waste £24 of it doesn't work as the pi is the only device I would use it on

As far as I know 14 days everywhere in the EU.

I've used 4 different ones:
an Airmouse
a Cherry keybord + mouse
and two cheap no name products (both keyboard + mouse)
All of them worked.
