micro SD card

The book Raspberry Pi for Kids recommends at least 4GB and preferably 8GB. I usually use 32GB in smartphones and tablets.

Is there any advantage in using higher capacity cards in Raspi's latest version, or is this just overkill? The downloads page seems to lean towards 8GB, but I suspect this may be for reasons of optimum economy. However, if you can afford it, the 32GB card costs less per GB than the lower capacity ones. But this presumes you will be able to make sensible use of it...

Like you say, it is only about economy. 32GB works as well and you have more space if you need it for something, like media files.
