Re: Any news on official Raspberry Display?
Funny thing is I was thinking of exactly the same clip. One day we will go to the blog page and there will be an announcement.tekkon wrote:The Simpsons - are we there yet

When I was young my sister told me that every time you press the button on the pedestrian crossing at the traffic lights, it would take a little bit longer to stop the traffic ... I believed her.RaTTuS wrote:...everytime you ask it gets pushed back a week

No need to be so pedantic... The team have responded to questions here before with inside information, it doesn't hurt to ask since it's been a while. If you're happy to wait, why are you even following this topic?RaTTuS wrote:everytime you ask it gets pushed back a week
It would be nice to get some kind of information, even if it's just 'we have other priorities right now'.
If it is such an unreasonable question, then why is the topic still open?

Re: Any news on official Raspberry Display?
the last news was some EMI problems
as was said before they [the foundation] will respond with info though the blog ,
we [the forum in general ] have said that we'll probably see the info on e14 or rs sites first
....
I'm not subscribe to this thread [or any other thread] I use search.php?search_id=egosearch to find my posts and this pops up every now and again and I go oh oh oh dang
so to recap - we'll get to see more info when they let us.

/shrug Anybody who knows, other than whoever is picked to make official statements, is under an NDA and won't say anything. Anyone (other than those very few who are authorized to speak) that does say anything...doesn't know.
I don't anything more than what has been said in public...and if I did, I couldn't tell you in any case.
I'll just sit here and wait patiently...

Re: Any news on official Raspberry Display?
Good point. It will be unlocked when there's an actual update. If that update happens to be a blog post, then this thread will probably remain locked.GekkePrutser wrote: If it is such an unreasonable question, then why is the topic still open?
Re: Any news on official Raspberry Display?
I know the thread is locked, but thought it important to add that we don't distribute 'inside' information without permission - we are asked not to divulge anything until its has been officially released (I don't think any of the mods are under NDA, except those that work for the RPF). The Pi2 was a case in point, some of us knew about that a year in advance, others a week in advance. And it wasn't mentioned here by any of the 'insiders'. Unlike some others offsite who were actually under an NDA who STILL managed to leak it!GekkePrutser wrote:No need to be so pedantic...
