Hello,

Someone knows if the case for Raspberry B+ is compatible for Raspberry 2 B?

Thanks

Almost all of the B+ cases work for Rpi 2. However the cpu (SOC) did move slightly.

The vast majority cases will fit (external dimension are identical to the B+)
with the exception of the older pibow coupe :

The cheap ones made from laser cut perspex for the B+ fit fine.

This is one I bought a while back, the vendor has updated it to include the Pi2 in the listing now (and put the price up from £2.95 to £4.95 :( ).

Was surprised that Frys (U.S.) Have a Hammond case that fits the 2 nice. Repackage under Velleman and list only B+. Ugly as sin. Slot opening on bottom near memory. Expensive at $12.

But will do for now. ^_^

Could someone recommend me a good case for the pi2 that blocks the camera flash bug and protects against dust?

Go with one of these from Adafruit they come in different colors. With the lid and base only cost $8. Here is the link http://www.adafruit.com/product/2285.

Greetings,

I am planing on building a hand-made pi 2 case either. I worried paper could burn so I'm thinking about metal can or plastic cola bottle.

I dont' know how to cut metal can, what kind of tool could help me?

Plastic could melt, I'm going to put some boiled water into it to try. Not so sure if it works.

Paper or card are fine unless you are exposing the case to a naked flame (which would be bad for plastic too).
Metal or any other conductive material would be a bad idea for a case unless you ensure that the bottom of the pi doesn't touch the case.

Tin snips (which look like very heavy duty scissors) are the standard tool for cutting thin metal like cans.

Plastic bottles will melt at a temperature between 130 to 210 degrees centigrade. Hot glue guns will stick it together.

I forgot one of the basic purposes of a case: protect Pi from short cut.

Thanks for information.

I had ordered the same one on the day of the Pi 2 launch (i had only B models, not any B+) and before i received it i put some heatsinks on the Pi 2... and well, this case has a 'slot' for the Broadcom chip and the Pi 2 one is not at the same place, so i can't put the second part of the case on it because of the Broadcom heatsink.

Just to warn people...
