Audio Quality From Bluetooth

Tue Feb 03, 2015 10:23 pm

Hi.

I have followed a few different guides on how to create an FM transmitter using a Raspberry Pi. This worked fine and then I added bluetooth. I can now connect my iPhone to bluetooth on Raspberry Pi and broadcast the sound over FM to my car radio.

The problem is the audio quality is terrible. Sometimes it seems fine but then starts to sound like it is underwater and then comes back relatively clear again.

Is there anything I can do to improve the quality of the audio in this project?

Yes, stop using it and use a dedicated in car transmitter that's designed for the purpose.

That should work from the Raspberry Pi's analog audio.

Audio quality on Bluetooth Audio is not good, transferring audio with transmitter is even worse.

Audio on bluetooth decodes and codes again with crappy DACs.
