Raspbian Security Repository

Thu Jan 29, 2015 8:50 am

There is a critical security bug again and i was thinking about adding the "debian security repository" as it was mentioned by some security organizations.

Wheres the security repository for raspbian and is it "safe" to use it?

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
should do it
do not add debian repositories

There is no security repository for Raspbian. Unlike Debian the fixes go straight into the main repository.

As others have said:

Don't add any Debian repositories to your sources.list files as it WILL cause bad problems.

Return to “Raspbian”
