Re: Delivery soon in Australia!

Tue Apr 17, 2012 10:17 am

Still debating whether I should bung this in an existing thread - and that's where I still am.

I ordered a Pi from E-14 at 4pm 29th Feb (6 am UK time), it has been on backorder until today where its status has changed to processing, so within the next couple of days I should see my credit card charged and will wait for the man from Toll to rock upto my doorstep.

I'll spare you all the poem I wrote on the E-14 website.

Element 14's Australian website doesn't have the same layout or information as Farnell UK, it just shows my order, status and order number. The actual Pi page is still showing 143 days.

Err, I don"t want to curb your enthusiasm, but I ordered 4/3 @ 2:00am and my order has been "processing" ever since - perhaps they are just cleaning up the status of orders in the queue... Anyways, I hope you get yours soon and mine is not too far behind, I"m sure the little wait will be worth it in the overall scheme of this project!

I can't give you the exact time as I always make my own order number thereby wiping out the E-14 generated one (which has time and date format). It was between 6 a.m and 6:10 amm though.

Excitement!!!  My Pi will arrive this week. Tonight my order status became completed and E-14 sent me two emails congratulating me on my foresight to order one.

I expect it either tomorrow or Thursday (Wednesday is a (bank for UK people) public holiday (for all others) ).

1 + 1 now let me see, I know 0.707, yes?
