How are the chances to use an android phone as keyboard/mouse device via bluetooth? Is it possible?
Is it difficult to realize? What do I need (except of a working bluetooth dongle)?
What android app could be used?

There are Air HID https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... o_1m'hl=en and AndroMouse https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... mouse.lite

But both work with Wifi instead of Bluetooth. The receiver is written in Java and it works on Linux desktop so hopefully it can run on the R-Pi.

However, the real requirement is that the phone and the Pi are on the same network, so Ethernet for the Pi still fulfills the requirement.
{sig} Setup: Original version Raspberry Pi (B, rev1, 256MB), Dell 2001FP monitor (1600x1200), 8GB Class 4 SD Card with Raspbian and XBMC, DD-WRT wireless bridge

I would like to use it as a portable device, so the less I have to carry the better it is. My requirement so far: Raspberry Pi and a HDMI cable. I always carry my smartphone so it doesn't count as an extra device. A ethernet connection needs a jack and a cable. Makes it more complicated so a bluetooth solution is handier.

PRemoteDroid can use bluetooth.

There are a few other ones that can use bluetooth that elude me at the moment.

PRemoteDroid uses a java daemon. Not sure if a gui is required but I assume it is.

If you have any concerns (or lack of time or knowledge) installing any code bits on Raspi, you should consider hardware-based approach. One suitable USB dongle presented with several additional use cases (next to "classic" mouse/touch pad/keyboard) also barcode scanner, for example, is presented in this video:

The good thing about this one is that Android device doesn't have to be rooted.

BTW: The video is part of Indiegogo campaign, direct link to it is:

Hi all,

I was wondering why PRemoteDroid from Pierre Durand needs so many permissions to run. Can anyone explain to me why Pierre needs my phone number or a permission to access my photos? The full set of permissions Pierre Durand is asking me to install his app is (from the Google Play web site):

Photos/Media/Files
modify or delete the contents of your USB storage
read the contents of your USB storage

Device ID & call information
read phone status and identity

Other
full network access
control vibration
pair with Bluetooth devices
access Bluetooth settings

Air HD from tomNeco needs quite the same set of permissions:

I do not feel confident about installing an app that has access to so much personal information and full access to the Internet.
