Got this email yesterday.

Congratulations - Farnell element14 will deliver your Pi to you around mid May.

I hope 'around' means it could be before mid May!

Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

They realised that the glyph at the bottom of the Mayan calander was actually the reset instruction to move the calender onto the next phase of the Long Count!

So, no Moon Pi, but we DO have the Olympics to get through......

I ordered from Farnell on Mar 3 and had a ship date of April 3. I had been expecting to see slippage in my ship date, obviously with events over the last few weeks Apr 3 wasn't going to happen. When I checked my order status today (been checking every day) I now have a ship date of August 16

Raspberry Pi have just posted on Twitter:

"Some in the US are reporting an email saying your order has been moved back to August - not right, and we're getting it looked into."

I just received the following email from Allied Electronics the RS affiliate for North America. I pre-ordered from them Mar 3 and my last email from them was March 5. Nice to know I am still on their list

Much has been happening behind the scenes since you preordered your Raspberry Pi.  After a minor ‘manufacturing hiccup’ which caused a slight delay in production, our parent company, RS Components, has been hard at work coordinating with production partners to ensure that they can fulfill demand with a high-quality product.

RS is working with the Raspberry Pi Foundation to manage compliance testing as quickly as possible, while ensuring all tests are carried out to guarantee safety. This means that you can be sure that your Raspberry Pi meets the correct standards and is as safe as you would expect any electronic device to be.

As soon as the Raspberry Pi is available from RS, we will begin to receive the device in batches and fill your preorders in the order that they were placed.

Thank you for your patience, and we'll be in touch as soon as your Raspberry Pi is on its way!

That is good news… I think, but can we please not have hundreds of "me too" posts?

Thanks!
