What is it with cases and cooling and f****** fans?

Fans blow, but they suck as well! Sure the light-up ones look pretty, but don't people realise fans just fill your computer with dust? Will these people ever learn?

Delivery services which give you a tracking number that doesn't actually work until several days later, when your parcel is about to be delivered anyway.

They go on about a service that looks such a good idea but really it's just rubbish.

Routers which invent web pages when they can't access the internet. Designed by morons who never heard of automated retrieval via http. Spent days wading through badly worded messages about incorrectly formatted files before the light bulb lit and I looked at the contents of the files.

Once saw a great safety video on this some ~22 years ago. It was from the fire service. They had an example of where the power cable to the cooker was wound around the gas pipe. The owner was fed up replacing the fuse for the cooker, since it kept blowing, and installed a lump of copper instead. The result was that when the cooker next went wrong, the power cable melted through the gas pipe and blew up the house. Thankfully, no one was in the house at the time.

Cases have saved me a couple times so far.

Use a 120mm, it will make sure no dust can settle on your RasPi. Probably blow the cables loose too!

Ebay!!! Package didn't show, vendor refused to refund so I gave him unsatisfactory feedback.

The vendor objected and got ebay to remove my feedback!

So now you know why everyone has 100% satisfaction .... it's meaningless.

That sucks anyway because they'll only have a few in the store, and when stocks run out it's fleecing time!

Stores doing mean "offers" to get people through the door - they suck.

But online magazines publicising these offers to fill a page - they suck too.

But mirrorless cameras - they suck as well in my opinion. No proper reflex viewfinder? That sucks!

I wouldn't know, I suspect "much more lengthy" is considered more correct but it also sounds clumsier and is less "conversational English".

But then I'm only an engineer who barely scraped a pass in 'O' level English.

Maybe it's just me, the misuse of "it's" is so ubiquitous now that it washes over me, but the misuse of "loose" is like fingernails on a blackboard (sorry, chalkboard )

There are an increasing number of posts where people use the wrong names for things and no one is challenging them to use the correct words.

E.g. refering to language constructs (like for,if,while) as functions.....
Or calling C/C++ source files "scripts"....
