The Pi is an ARM based computer it cannot run DOS games because that would require an x64 compatible processor.

Not true, of course.redhawk wrote:The Pi is an ARM based computer it cannot run DOS games because that would require an x64 compatible processor.

DOSBox works pretty well - at least in console mode (not X).
And some folks need to stop being fanboys and see the forest behind the trees.

I played the Quest for Glory series on Rpix86 with my pi on my TV set just fine. There is a whole thread on rpix86 check it out it will tell you which games are having issues.

ScummVM is great. Played a bit of Day of the Tentacle and Monkey Island.
Edit: Oh and Doom of course, but that has nothing to do with ScummVM.

Baldurs Gate (ok technically its a windows game...) using gemrb http://www.gemrb.org
Ultima 4 6 and 7 - ive posted guides in the last week for 4 and 7
As mentioned above SCUMMVM works nicely. I compile/use 1.6 to play Eye of the Beholder.

All games with SCumvm (is that the name?), Doom 1+2 (ChocolateDoom), Sid meiers civilisation, Oregon trail, Microsoft Flight Simulator 1+2+3+4+5, Sim City (very slow), The Incredible Machine (quite fun), Microsoft space simulator (bit boring), Wolfenstein 3D, The Settlers 2 Gold Edition (very slow - unusable), Buzz Aldrins Race Into Space, the list goes on.
I'm happy to help.

SZ - Never heard of it. Even a Google search only turns out this post as the best result, and 1/2 more.MattHawkinsUK wrote:Carrier Command using DOSBox.
