Tue Oct 08, 2013 6:57 am

Hey guys;
I was watcing the BBC while eating some toast this morning and there was a short segment about the Raspberry Pi presented by Alan O'Donohoe.
Who spotted the BBC micro owl badge? :D
I want a mug with that.

Anyway I found his page online here; http://about.me/AlanODonohoe

There was also a short piece by Rory C-J on Radio 4 this morning. Mainly talking about the manufacturing success rather than the Pi itself.

Yeah, dinking coffee before 7 I heard Steph (the Blonde lady who does the finance stuff) say there was something about the Pi on later.
Unfortunately I had to leave to sit in traffic for 3 hours to get to a customer site. Now I have had a chance to get online i find that I cant get BBC breakfast on iPlayer....doh!
Hopefully there will have been someone who is able to upload a link to video somewhere.

Check out the front page - we've got some links there in the post that's currently at the top to some more BBC footage, including video from the factory and an interview with Eben. I'll be uploading the R4 stuff tomorrow when it's made available.

It's fabulous news about the 1000000th Pi rolling off the production line, and the news that the BBC are to get behind the coding initiative. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-24446046

Unfortunately, I didn't manage to see the piece on BBC Breakfast, I was elsewhere at the time. ;-)

There's a recording of it here by Martin O'Hanlon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCLMsDJ- ... e=youtu.be

However, I did manage to record the BBC Radio 5 Live piece at 8.53, it's here https://audioboo.fm/boos/1648333-interv ... berry-jams

I was on BBC Radio Scotland later in the day as well. Not managed to find a recording of that.

I am quite surprised there hasn't been any mention of the million pounds the Pi has raised for the Foundation's cause and all the good things being achieved with that.
