I was thinking of trying to acheive something like this …
This example uses the Bit Whacker development board to interface with a 433mhz remote control. The Bit Whacker is based on a PIC18F2550 which is slightly different to the PIC on the Gertboard. I would describe myself as a learning amateur at best but my gut says that that the difference is negligable and that I could use the Gertboard instead of the Bit Whacker to acheive the same result.
Could any of you cleverer sounding people confirm this?
Also if so, could you confirm if I would need to develop my own drivers or could I use the Gertboard drivers and code-patterns shown in the demo video? I hope so as the code there looks easy enough to implement.
