As I understand it, you have to tunnel over SSH to get VNC working from outside of your local network.
I have followed the steps from a previous topic (http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... 63&t=24378) but I am unable to get it to work. That and the user that was requesting help didn't seem to be using a default setup.
I have a default setup of tightvnc installed on my Raspberry Pi - Model B following these directions: http://myraspberrypiexperience.blogspot ... p-vnc.html
SSH is working
VNC is working on my Raspberry Pi on my local network using 192.168.1.136:1
I have DD-WRT on my router. I have port forwarded my other Windows systems to be accessed over the internet through VNC so the router isn't the issue.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Re: Accessing VNC over the Internet
Basic setup.
Install VNC server on Raspberry pi
VNC Port forward on your router/modem: Your tutorial uses port "1"? Forward port 1 to your raspberry pi internal IP adres (192.168.1.136)
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Port_Forwarding
Application:VLC
Start port: 1
End port: 1
Protocol: Both for the first time, i dont know VNC use TCP or UDP for default.
Ip adress: INTERNAL ip adres of your raspberry pi
Then go to -> http://www.whatsmyip.org/ And copy your ip adres(PUBLIC) ip adres. your should connect now to EXTERNALIPADRES:1
I also made a own VNC tutorial: http://raspberrypihelp.net/tutorials/18 ... vnc-server

Re: Accessing VNC over the Internet
The number :1 refers to the VNC display , which maps
to port 5901 , :2 maps to 5902 etc.
