Hi – as trailed in the last posts on the Update 4 thread, we’ve been working with Broadcom and our manufacturing partners to tie down production and shipping schedules for the rest of the year. The new table showing the indicative despatch schedule for orders placed on the RS Raspberry Pi Store is attached below this post and is also on our updated FAQS at http://uk.rs-online.com/web/generalDisp ... s#Delivery
What this means is:
• New shipments have commenced today for the first batch of Raspberry Pi orders highlighted in the table
• All orders received to-date should be despatched by mid-December latest (including those placed on the main RS websites and Allied websites)
• We are currently forecasting that we will have Raspberry Pi’s in stock (have stock ready for ordering and immediate despatch) from w.c. 17 December
We’re also working with our shipping partners to try to ensure all orders are despatched ahead of last postage dates for Christmas, which may require some orders to be sent out differently to the dates indicated. This is expected to be a small percentage of the overall orders due to be despatched, so will not affect the full schedule.
In the meantime, we’re continuing to work to improve the service level for enquiries sent into the Raspberry Pi inbox. We’re very sorry for the delays people have faced in getting a response to their email enquiry, and this is being addressed with more people now working on the inbox to provide a better service.
We’ll be back on this thread to answer questions next week (we can’t reply to every individual question so please look out for general posts by the RS team).
Thanks again for your patience
Mike

Hi Mike, thanks for the reply as promised.
My order number starts with 118012XXX
where does that fit in the table?

Hi Ricardo - that sounds like you placed your order on the standard RS website? Can you confirm this and one of the team will look into your order status on Monday

Let's hope we will see one, Mike said there would be Allied information in a few weeks - too long to wait, but I guess that is the best they can do.den wrote:Hi,

Re: RS & Allied Update #5 (9th Nov)
Hi,
I ordered from RS on July 9th. My order number is 1010151XXX. According to the old RS shipping table, I expected my raspberry Pi being shipped, if I recall correctly, at mid-November . Is this still true? When should I expect the shipping of my RasPi?.
Thanks in advance!.

We're working on an Allied table now, so hope to be in a position to post one up in the next couple of weeks.sdjf wrote:Let's hope we will see one, Mike said there would be Allied information in a few weeks - too long to wait, but I guess that is the best they can do.den wrote:Hi,

Re: RS & Allied Update #5 (9th Nov)
I was all happy order numer 1010 158xxxx looking at the table until I realised 154xxxx was the last number for that week. I stupidly thought it was started at 154xxxx. Oh well another week doesn't matter now

Do not push too hard to get your RasPi from RS/Allied. You will end up with a revision 1.0 out of the returns bin!

True. I am curious how many of this stuff they still have.Do not push too hard to get your RasPi from RS/Allied. You will end up with a revision 1.0 out of the returns bin!
Raspberry Pi 1B; Rev2; 512mb RAM (Samsung)

Re: RS & Allied Update #5 (9th Nov)
I am guessing they keep getting some back. People are sending the rev. 1.0 back and asking for refunds. I cannot blame them as they waited for three to four months to get the oldest versions, while people that ordered just weeks after them are rewarded "for their patience" with the rev. 2.0 512MB boards.
So there will be some boards for them to still get rid of. If you ordered a 256MB board you could still get one of these. Better to cancel and order a 512MB board and then they cannot give you a rev. 1.0.
Since they made me wait for 14 weeks just to get a rev. 1.0, I will not bother to reward them with any further orders. As a matter of fact I have ordered three 512MB boards from Element14.
Lousy communications, bad customer service, ridiculous policies, unbelievable lead times and slow refunds add up to a bad place to buy.

Re: RS & Allied Update #5 (9th Nov)

Re: RS & Allied Update #5 (9th Nov)
Thank you for your replies. We can confirm that we are no longer shipping Version 1.0 boards for new orders.
Orders of Version 1.0 boards which were unable to be delivered will be re-sent as Version 1.0 boards.
If for any reason a Version 1.0 board has been returned due to a fault, again we will replace with a Version 1.0 model.
All other orders will receive a Version 2.0 board.
Thank you for your continued patience.
Regards
Vic

Re: RS & Allied Update #5 (9th Nov)
Thanks for the update Vic.
I also received an email today from RS with some good news:
Thank you for your continued patience in waiting for your Raspberry Pi order. By way of an extra thank you, we’re pleased to let you know that your order for a 256MB Raspberry Pi Model B board will be upgraded to a 512MB revision 2 version of Raspberry Pi.
My order number is: 1010158xxx placed on 16 Jul 2012. According to the shipping schedule:
12th – 18th November 1010154000
19th – 25th November 1010163000
Does that mean it will ship 12-18th or 19-25th November?

Re: RS & Allied Update #5 (9th Nov)
@Vic: When you say "We", does that apply to both Allied in the USA and RS in the UK, or just RS in the UK?Vic@RS wrote:Thank you for your replies. We can confirm that we are no longer shipping Version 1.0 boards for new orders.

And does your statement about "new orders" also apply to all orders still in the shipping queues from both the RS and Allied sites?
Thanks for your efforts on our behalf.

Re: RS & Allied Update #5 (9th Nov)
I ordered mine from RS and card was charged 16th July, got a confirmation of sale email and not another email since then.
Re: RS & Allied Update #5 (9th Nov)
Some clarification on the shipping table
When reading the shipping table, please note that the order numbers listed against each week are the last of the order numbers shipped during that week.
@AndreaMiller: Therefore your order will be shipped between the 19th and 25th of November
Regards

I ordered around the same date and received just 1 email.
I expect the shipping email at the end of November.
