It seems that the boards are shipping to each country on different dates based on the amount of boards ordered in each country. UK gets priority over everyone else (surprise, surprise) while other countries are left waiting...even if they ordered before people in the UK.

I got a similar email at the same time that was an invoice confirmation, and the order status was changed to 'Completed', but I didn't get an actual shipping confirmation. Ordered on August 8th as well.

I called them today and it sounded like they haven't actually shipped to customers yet, only that the bulk shipment was enroute to their South Carolina warehouse and they'll ship from there. Did you guys actually get shipping numbers?

I live in Melbourne and I just received my Gertboard. For some reason, I did not get an email, but it arrived today anyway. I placed my order 9th of Aug at 5:20. It shipped from Chester Hills NSW. Time for an afternoon of soldering!

Was on business trip when the email came in. Quickly clicked link to invoice to get tracking info. When to ups.com and entered the tracking number, clicked track... Wow! Delivered! Damn that was FAST! What? Delivered on 02/03/2012 in Russellville, Arkansas? WHT?

Mine is en route. I did not get a tracking number. UPS has an option to track without it. Put in your zip code, country, and PO number. Mine will be here by the end of the day Wednesday.

I do know that I'm going to have to get a magnifier before I start putting it together, those dang surface mount devices are tiny!

Just an FYI - I'm in Jersey, ordered a Gertboard kit from Farnell on 15/08/2012 16:12:24 and it arrived via UPS today (23/10/2012).

Unfortunately, I now have no time to assemble or play with it. I might stick the unopened kit up on ebay for cost (probably below £40 including prepaying VAT and recorded delivery to the UK) and buy a pre-assembled board when they're available, depending on what Farnell say in the coming week(s). Shame it didn't arrive before work exploded!

I have just check the Gertboard site on Element14. The Price has increased by $13.50 from $57.00 (AUD) to $70.50 (AUD). Is this a sign that the shipment of the Gertboard is near? Also, if I have ordered one already at the original price, will I have to pay more?

Now you have your answer. Normally when you place an order for something and the price goes up, you get it for what you ordered it for.

To send it via Royal Mail with a delivery confirmation to the US it would be over £10 for just shipping cost (according to http://www.royalmail.com/price-finder based on 220g packed weight, within 10 days), so that would be $65ish total ... I don't care so long as I'm covering costs, though.

My Gertboard kit arrived today. It is everything I expected. I hope to begin work this weekend. I do have to admit that the board is too densely populated for secondary students with little soldering experience to build.

I'm a happy camper!
