Does anyone know how to buy and integrate a simple remote control (like roku has) with the RaspPi?

If it's for XBMC one can simply install smartphone app for remote control.

No. Not for xbmc and want to use a simple remote like roku has. No smartphone.

If your tv has CEC you can try that. Otherwise look into an IR receiver. There are usb media center remotes that come with usb IR receivers. I don't know if they have ones quite as simple as the roku remotes.
