installing mingw32 kit for QTCreator on Raspberry Pi OS

Sat Oct 03, 2020 3:40 pm

Hi,

I am trying to install the mingw32 kit for compiling QT code in QTCreator.
the only source i can find for anyone doing this on a linux system is this: https://uncannier.com/cross-compile-qt- ... WWk_XFXbNc

however it seems like this is written for ubuntu and i am unable to make this work on Raspberry Pi OS.

is it possible to install the mingw32 kit on Raspberry Pi OS, and if so, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

The link you posted is for Ubuntu running on x86-64 CPU Architecture...

...the Raspberry Pi SBC is ARM CPU Architecture.

.
The information is out there....you just have to let it in.

My other Linux machine is a ChromeBox

Yes.

mingw is a version of GCC for use on x86 Windows platforms.

Raspberry Pi OS has normal GCC pre-installed which you may build QT with.
