Memory split on Pi 4

Hello,

I am running a Pi 4 4gb. I keep getting an issue when watching video in VLC - when I skip ahead, the video often freezes (but the audio keeps playing).

What sort of memory split should I do? I'm thinking of chucking a full Gb into the graphics - is that reasonable to solve this or is there some other cause to it?

You shouldn't need to go above 512MB.

Setting it to anything close to 1GB will make the Pi unbootable until you revert the config.txt change.

Yep, found that out this afternoon.

Any other suggestions to stop this behaviour in VLC?
