Hello,
I am running a Pi 4 4gb. I keep getting an issue when watching video in VLC - when I skip ahead, the video often freezes (but the audio keeps playing).
What sort of memory split should I do? I'm thinking of chucking a full Gb into the graphics - is that reasonable to solve this or is there some other cause to it?
thanks
Jon

Re: Memory split on Pi 4
You shouldn't need to go above 512MB.
Setting it to anything close to 1GB will make the Pi unbootable until you revert the config.txt change.jondallimore wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 12:14 pmI'm thinking of chucking a full Gb into the graphics - is that reasonable to solve this or is there some other cause to it?

Yep, found that out this afternoon.
Any other suggestions to stop this behaviour in VLC?
