Best resources and tutorials for configuring an email server

Mon Mar 09, 2020 6:13 pm

I am running a LEMP server on a raspberry pi, and attempting to configure an email server possibly using tools such as postfix and dovecot. There seem to be many outdated tutorials that are no longer relevant around the internet, but nothing up to date. So far I have tried 2 different (very long) tutorials with little success. I am wondering if anyone has any good suggestions as to how to get started configuring an email server on a Debian based LEMP server. I am currently running the latest Raspbian and just looking for a good place to start. Any suggestions, links, or advice would be highly appreciated!

Thanks!

Although not RPi specific, this guide for Debian has served me well. https://workaround.org/ispmail

Try my take on setting up email – https://codedoneright.eu/?page_id=786

There's a tutorial for webmail as well, although for Apache. Just substitute Apache section with Nginx config.
