Raspberry Pi 7" Touchscreen Display and RTC

Mon Jan 13, 2020 9:37 pm

Is it possible to use Raspberry Pi 7" Touchscreen Display and a mini DS3231 RTC clock at the same time?
Because the information shows that they are using the same pins.
The touchscreen is hocked up by pin 3,4,5,6 and the mini rtc clock at pin 1,3,5,7,9
Can I use some other pins for the clock or for the screen?

The touch screen doesn't use any of the GPIO pins on the 40 pin header (unless you connect to an original 26-pin RP1B).

Or connect power via the jumpers. You do NOT need to connect pins 3&5 at all unless you are on an original Pi1 model A or B. Power can be provided via a short USB lead instead (general recommendation to connect the PSU to the Pi first, then loop on to the display).

Aha... ok I tried it and works great.
Thanks 6by9

And for those that are using Windows Iot core on Raspberry Pi 3 model B and a DS3231 RTC clock I found an example in C# at https://github.com/ZhangGaoxing/windows ... src/DS3231
