Tue Dec 10, 2019 1:22 pm

Bonjour,

installation raspian ok
installation ethernet ip statique ok
Installer le pilote :
sudo apt-get install firmware-realtek

Puis
sudo apt-get install wicd

sudo iwlist wlan0 scan

/etc/network/interfaces
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
iface eth0 inet dhcp
auto wlan0
iface wlan0 inet dhcp
wpa-conf /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf

Dans /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf

ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
ctrl_interface_group=0
update_config=1
network={
ssid="mon sisid"
psk="mon-pass"
key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
}

Je reboote et
avec iwconfig j'obtiens

wlan0 unassociated Nickname:"rtl_wifi"
Mode:Auto Access Point: Not-Associated Sensitivity:0/0
Retry:off RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Power Management:off
Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

Code: Select all

# interfaces(5) file used by ifup(8) and ifdown(8)

# Please note that this file is written to be used with dhcpcd
# For static IP, consult /etc/dhcpcd.conf and 'man dhcpcd.conf'

# Include files from /etc/network/interfaces.d:
source-directory /etc/network/interfaces.d

fichier /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf

Code: Select all

ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=netdev
update_config=1
country=FR

network={
        ssid="network-name"
        psk="network-password"
        key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
}

sudo raspi-config -> network option, etc

I use Google translate.

If you install Raspbian Buster on your SD card you do not need to make any changes to get your wifi working. The wifi driver for your wifi dongle is included in the Buster image and you do not need add any other files except make file wpa_supplicant.conf.

You just need to make the file wpa_supplicant.conf like

Code: Select all

ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=netdev
update_config=1
country=FR

network={
	ssid="network-name"
	psk="network-password"
	key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
}
Set the network-name and network-password to what your network uses. This is for a network using WPA/WPA2 security. If your network security is not WPA/WPA2 you will need to make changes to file wpa_supplicant.conf to manage the different security but not any other changes to the Buster image.

I would suggest you make a new SD card with a new image of Buster, and add files wpa_supplicant.conf and ssh to the boot partition. Then put the SD card in your Pi and boot it. I would then expect the wifi to work.

EDIT: you may need to install new firmware using commands

Code: Select all

sudo apt update
sudo apt install firmware-realtek

network={
	ssid="network-name"

Hi froussel,

To try and find your problem I tried a rtl8192su wifi but could not get it working, just like your problem.

I have tried to get a wifi dongle using the rtl8192su driver on 3 different Pi, one with Raspbian Stretch, one with Raspbian Jessie and one with Raspbian Buster, but it did not work on any of the Pi. It appears the driver does not work with Raspbian kernel 4.19.xx.

I then searched the forum and found this post https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... u#p1543812 that explains the problem and provides a solution to the problem.

I tried the solution and now I have the rtl8192su wifi working.

Hi froussel,

If you have problems trying to get the solution working If you post the output of command uname -a I can compile a driver for you and make a script to install it.

I would put it on my web site where you can then download and install it and then your wifi should work.

Hi froussel,

I have compiled a set of rtl8192su wifi drivers for Raspbian that are now available on my web site at http://downloads.fars-robotics.net/wifi ... su-drivers

To download and install the driver for your Pi use the following commands.

Code: Select all

wget http://downloads.fars-robotics.net/wifi-drivers/8192su-drivers/8192su-4.19.75-1270.tar.gz
tar xzf 8192su-4.19.75-1270.tar.gz
sudo rmmod r8712u
./install.sh
Command "sudo rmmod r8712u" will uninstall the faulty r8712u driver if it is loaded before loading the new driver. The ./install.sh command will install the driver, r92su.ko, and a config file, r92su.conf, at /etc/modprobe.d/r92su.conf. This will blacklist the r8712u driver and stop it loading.

Hopefully you will now be able to get your 8192su wifi working.

Après

Code: Select all

wget http://downloads.fars-robotics.net/wifi-drivers/8192su-drivers/8192su-4.19.75-1270.tar.gz
tar xzf 8192su-4.19.75-1270.tar.gz
sudo rmmod r8712u
./install.sh
puis

Code: Select all

sudo reboot
Puis

Code: Select all

sudo raspi-config

I'm really pleased to hear you now have your wifi working. Have fun using your Pi.

Yes, you can use a similar way to install the driver for your Netgear A6100 which uses the 8812au wifi driver.

Code: Select all

wget http://downloads.fars-robotics.net/wifi-drivers/8812au-drivers/8812au-4.19.75-1270.tar.gz
tar xzf 8812au-4.19.75-1270.tar.gz
./install.sh
Just choose the right file to match the output from command uname -a for the kernel version used on the Pi you want to install the wifi driver on.

I also have a script that will automatically choose the right driver for the wifi you have and the Raspbian kernel version you are using and is rather more simple to download and install the wifi driver you need. You do not need to determine the kernel version or driver version you need as the script will automatically do this.

You can install the script using commands

Code: Select all

sudo wget http://downloads.fars-robotics.net/wifi-drivers/install-wifi -O /usr/bin/install-wifi
sudo chmod +x /usr/bin/install-wifi
The command

Code: Select all

sudo install-wifi -h
will show instructions how to use it.

If you only have one wifi dongle connected to the Pi the command

Code: Select all

sudo install-wifi
will find the driver you need for the wifi you are using and then download and install it.

If you have more than one wifi dongle connected to the Pi, maybe the WDA-131 wifi and the Netgear a6100 then the command

Code: Select all

sudo install-wifi 8192su
will specifically download the driver for the 8192su wifi and the command

Code: Select all

sudo install-wifi 8812au
will specifically download the driver for the Netgear A6100.

Encore merci !

Mais avant j'ai quelques soucis

La même carte SD fonctionne bien et me permet de me connecter en wifi avec mon dongle DWA-131 sur :
Pi modèle B rev 2 (2 usb et 1 ethernet)
Pi modèle A rev 2 ( seulement 1 usb)

For Pi 2B you need the driver version 8192su-4.19.75-v7-1270.tar.gz

For each Pi use command uname -a and check the kernel version and build number.

As an example:-

On my Pi Zero uname -a shows "Linux Pi-0-b 4.19.88+ #1284 Wed Dec 11 13:41:36 GMT 2019 armv6l GNU/Linux"

On my Pi B uname -a shows "Linux Pi-test-wifi 4.19.88+ #1284 Wed Dec 11 13:41:36 GMT 2019 armv6l GNU/Linux"

For the Pi Zero and Pi B the 8192su driver would be 8192su-4.19.88-1284.tar.gz

On my Pi 2B uname -a shows "Linux Pi-2B-b 4.19.88-v7+ #1284 SMP Wed Dec 11 13:46:41 GMT 2019 armv7l GNU/Linux" The kernel version has an extra "-v7"

For the Pi 2B the 8192su driver would be 8192su-4.19.88-v7-1284.tar.gz

To use the Netgear A6100 use my 8812au driver. Just make sure you use the right version of the driver by using command uname -a to check the kernel version and build number.

For the TP-LINK 8188EUS there is a driver included in Raspbian, the r8188eu wifi driver. However, I also compile a more modern version of the 8188eu driver which I find more reliable and it is available on my web site.

If you use my install-wifi script as I suggested in my earlier post the script will automatically select the correct wifi driver version and you will not need to check uname -a yourself to get the right driver. Just makes life a little easier.
