Noobs black screen. Is there a way to force video resolution ?

Hi, I just got my RPi4 a couple of weeks ago and when I first boot it I got no video from Noobs. I though it was weird so I connnected to an old projector and worked perfectly fine.

Now my doubt is, is it possible that Noobs video settings are TOO high (4k maybe) and EEID is not working on my TV with the Pi and that's the reason I get a black screen ? As soon as Raspbian or Lakka boot, everything works fine, I just can't see the boot menu from Noobs !

Searched everywhere with no luck.

Also another question, related to WiFi, I'm not being able to connect to WiFi 5 Ghz and it's extremely slow, is it a firmware update recommended this days ? My RPi4 is quite cold with the default firmware.

Although NOOBS does not have a config.txt file by default, you can always create one and set your required video settings in there like hdmi_group and hdmi_mode, just like in Raspbian.

Also make sure you use the hdmi0 connector next to the USB-C power input.
