I have a feeling that MCPC is gonna become like MCPE. I downloaded MCPE on my ipad2 2 years ago. 1 year ago, they still support updates for my ipad. but what they didn't do is make it playable. Anything with more than 1GB ram is required to play MCPE now. Microsoft should still support MCPi., unfortanetly they cant because only 1 Gb ram available on a Pi.
People need to stop referring to the Java Edition as the PC version.
There are two "PC versions" of Minecraft. The original Java Edition, and the Windows 10 version (which you get free if you purchased the Java Edition). The Windows 10 version is based on MCPE, and it's written in a compiled language (C-something, I forget which version), so it is much more performance optimized than the Java Edition. If you have an older x86 PC that's struggling with the Java Edition, try the Win10 version.
As far as our little Pi computers are concerned, there is the free Pi version, which is designed for education and is missing loads of features (like survival mode), and with some extra work we can get the Java Edition running in a somewhat playable fashion, up to version 1.12.2 anyway (the Java 1.13 Aquatic Update is laggy on a gaming PC, so there is no way a little Pi could run it at this time).
The fact that Java Edition 1.12.2 can run on a Pi3B shows that Minecraft can run on a system with only 1GB. Considering that the compiled PE version is much more optimized, if we can get Java Edition running on a Pi, MS should be able to produce an optimized PE/Bedrock/Better Together version for the Pi.
The Pi3B can also run a nice Minecraft Java Edition survival multiplayer server. My own Creeper Pie SMP server has been running for nearly a year on a Raspberry Pi model 3B. You can't run a big server with dozens of players, but for a small group of family or friends a Pi3B works very well (SpigotMC for Java Edition version 1.12.2).
My mind is like a browser. 27 tabs are open, 9 aren't responding,
lots of pop-ups...and where is that annoying music coming from?
