Pi NOIR Camera Tinted Images

Mon Aug 12, 2019 9:10 pm

Hello everybody,

I have a Raspberry Pi 3 with a NOIR camera which I use as an amateur surveillance system (with MotionEye) when I am away on longer trips.

Everything worked quite OK for some time, but the last time I was away for the weekend, I was seeing images through the live video feed which looked like the screenshot below.

The color flickers between red, pink, then normal again.

Has anyone seen this?

Do I need to replace my camera?

Appreciate any help :)

Hi,

It could be that the ribbon is not seated properly I see the same from time to time, seems to happen even if the camera is static. A disconnect and wipe of the pads fixes it.

Thanks for the hint!

Now the problem is, I am not calling 'raspistill' directly, I have MotionEye installed, which probably uses raspistill (or a Python package that does, since it's written in Python, as far as I am aware).

Is there any systemwide config file for globally setting that parameter for raspistill?

Sorry, if these are stupid questions, but I am not that deep into every Pi detail.

You could try https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware ... -508256302

If you are stuck on Systemd a quick Google will show you what to do.
