Isaac Computer Science Discovery Event
Inspiring the next generation of Computer Scientists
We invite you to take part in the first of a new series of events for Year 10–13 students. The events will cover computer science careers and real-world applications, and what it's like to study computer science at degree level.Hear from a diverse range of industry professionals, and take part in interactive workshops throughout the day — all in the incredible University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory.
We are delighted to welcome Professor Simon Peyton Jones, Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research and Chair of the NCCE, as our keynote speaker. He will be talking about the increasing demand and opportunities for computer scientists.
You will also have the opportunity to hear from current computer science university students and graduates.
We will be releasing the full programme in the coming weeks.
We advise you to bring your own lunch.
There is a drop-off area for coaches and minibuses. Parking is available at Madingley Road Park & Ride, which is a ten-minute walk from the venue.
Group booking is available (max. 20 students). Year 10 and 11 students must be accompanied by an adult. We ask that teachers provide the names of all of the students attending with them.
You will receive a confirmation email with a link to add details about the students you will be bringing. Please complete this form by Monday 24 June.
