PiControl - Mange your Raspberry Pi from your Android Phone!

Hey Guys!

As part of the Open Source project Raspcontrol, an awesome developer has ported the project into an Android App, meaning you can now manage your Raspberry Pi directly from your Android Device!

You do need Raspcontrol installed and running on your Pi before you can use PiControl though! You can get Raspcontrol here: http://www.raspcontrol.com

I really like raspcontrol, but not having any luck getting the app to connect.
tried my domain name and my local ip address for the pi, with http tacked on the front of address, and without. Tried with the trailing slash (raspcontrol/). Tried over WiFi and 3G network.
My Raspi is world accessible is every other respect - and I can access my raspcontrol page on my android phone too - in Firefox. something sup.....

Make sure you update to the latest version of RaspControl

OK, I didn't realise there was a new version, so I downloaded and installed (overwrote the raspcontrol directory).
And the picontrol app still comes back with the same error - 'We can't connect to your server'.
I tried all the same variations that I did before I first posted.
hmmm. everyone else has it working OK I guess ?

Judging by the ratings on Google Play this app is useless.

I think ill have a go at making some possibly for both Android and iPhone if there is any interest.

Itd be good to know how much interest there is for this and which what platforms people want.
If there is a demand ill get started.
