Full Spectrum dimmable

Sun Apr 14, 2019 6:06 pm

Hello, I am moving into a room without any windows and wanted to install some LEDs or bulbs that were full spectrum and could be controlled by my Raspberry Pi 3. I can only find small 6"x 4" boxes that are meant for a desk and aren't even dimmable. I have been searching and will continue searching, but I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction to something that could light up a whole room and simulate the day cycles as my wife is sort of like a plant, lol.

Assuming you cannot drill through the ceiling or wall for https://www.syneco.co.uk/solarspot/home-residential I would look at the LED strips with WS2811/2812 chips in them. You can get short or long runs and a Pi library is available from https://learn.adafruit.com/neopixels-on ... i/overview along with the LEDs.

You may find you local hardware store has these with cheap remote control boxes but no computer control.
Need Pi spray - these things are breeding in my house...
