I'm the author of the WiringPi::API
Perl wrapper to Gordon's WiringPi
, the RPI::WiringPi
Perl distribution that uses *WiringPi::API* and aggregates several other Perl distributions for sensors, ICs etc that I've also written.
Recently, I've teamed up with someone who maintains PiFlash
, a Perl distribution that aids in the flashing of SD cards for the Raspberry Pi.
I suggested to Ian, the author of *PiFlash*, that it would be useful if the software could automatically fetch images from the Raspberry Pi download site
. We bantered a bit, and although it'd be trivial to scrape (or just use hard links), things change from time-to-time.
My question is thus: Does the Raspberry Pi website have a back end API that could be used to glean this information? If not, is there a master list of all downloads that could be exposed on the web linking the varying versions to actual download files (JSON for example).
If not, and this is something that interests people, I'd be glad to donate some time to help with such an implementation.
