Just read it, with an external sdhc microSD usb reader dongle, in pretty much any Linux workstation. That could be your RPi running from a fresh install of Raspbian on a new microSD card, or a conventional 'Windows' PC booted in 'liveCD' mode from this Raspberry Pi Foundation distribution:

The 'missing link' is that your own files are stored in a 'root' filesystem represented by a filestore partition defined in a way that a basic Windows system will not acknowledge or read.
