Manual Modification of boot folder.

Hello! I was wondering if there is any way to modify operating systems that only work on the pi 2/3 (Like Ubuntu Mate) so they work on the Pi 3 B+.
I think the problem is with the bootcode.bin, but I'm not sure how to fix this.

Yes there have been several posts over the last 6 months detailing what needs to be undertaken, just have to find them :?

HP Envy 4500 Wireless Printer supported by HPLIP software in Raspbian Buster.
