Upgrading Julia to 1.0

Thu Oct 11, 2018 11:03 pm

Hello, I'm trying to upgrade Julia(lang) to the latest version. There is a package for v0.6.2, but it's not compatible with all the Julia packages for v1.0.

What is involved in producing a package to update to? Is the only option to learn how to build & install it myself? Seems like many people must have gone through the trial & trouble of getting 1.0 up & running; what does it take for that process to become available to general users?

Thanks,
J

Code: Select all

installed julia-1.1.0. Run the pkg> st command

It's true that (at the moment) there is no ARM download for 1.10 (current stable) but there is one for 1.0.3 (long term stable). I would think that LTS is better that Obsolete and might even be a better choice for the Pi than Current Stable.
