Scratch GPIO Extension

Thu Sep 13, 2018 3:06 pm

I was planning on creating a simple LED display for our school's open house using Scratch however the purple GPIO extension blocks for setting GPIO () to high/low/input won't let me put a list item on the (). I used to be able to do that. Set GPIO (item (index) of pins) to high/low/input.

Was there an update to Scratch that stopped allowing blocks to be snapped into those purple extension blocks? That is a bummer if I have to use the drop down to select each numbered pin for the display. I want to use my list. When did this change? Workarounds?

Unfortunately, I don't think Scratch is very high up on the RPF's list of priorities, which is a shame. The current pre-installed version of 2.0 has very basic gpio functionality.

May I suggest you install Simon Walters' Scratch2GPIO extension. It adds tons of gpio functionality.
