waveshare 7" touchscreen

Fri Apr 01, 2016 5:15 am

I have a waveshare 7" 1024X600 touchscreen that is cdmi out and usb out. I have it running on my raspberry pi 2 I have the lcd working just fine but can not get the touchscreen to work. I am sung it on my astrobox configuration that I have beefed up some.

I have followed the directions listed here http://www.waveshare.com/wiki/7inch_HDM ... ser_Manual

I followed how to install the driver script and as stated the unit rebooted but no touch screen input.

Any ideas? how would i verify that the drivers were installed for the touch screen input?

I have one of these screens, and I had the touch screen working perfectly with all models of Pi after an apt-get update/upgrade...

Let me take a look at my screen over the weekend, see if it still works and what the PCB rev. is...

Yep, same problem here too. For reference, this is the screen I have and it's PCB rev. 2.1: http://www.waveshare.com/wiki/7inch_HDMI_LCD_(C).

Works fine when using the latest Raspbian "out of the box", but after an apt-get upgrade it stops working.

No doubt there's a fix out there somewhere, I can see from dmesg that the system registers the touchscreen as an input device. I'll have to look into this when I get the time...

I have a Waveshare 7" display without touch intentionally, since I have touchpad on the wireless keyboard I use with that display.

Until now I always used Stretch Lite. Today I flashed Raspbian Stretch Desktop and the keyboard touchpad worked like a charme:
