Re: Got my stickers...
Lord - the number of people making the acid tab observation makes me feel I've led a very, very sheltered existence.
The printers are torn between love and hatred for Raspberry Pi. They're getting lots of repeat orders from us, but they have a hell of a time with the fiddly little stickers, which, apparently, they give in sheets to two guys with two pairs of scissors to chop up for us.
I've just put in another order for another 4k little ones, and a BRAND NEW PRODUCT - the 6cm diameter raspberry sticker. Stick it on things which are a bit bigger than a Windows key! Go wild!
It'll be 7-10 days before we get the stock, so they'll go into the shop then.

Liz:: Would offering a 4x stickers "page" / setup help the issue?
Less cutting, larger piece of paper to handle.
Just an outsiders idea offered to maybe make things easier.

Bacan - no, apparently not, but I have been talking to the printers about ways to make things easier for them.

That's not what I heard. St. Trinian's was based on your school wasn't it?

Liz:: If they complain to much about having work to do at the agreed upon schedule, I know of some businesses here in the USofA that will gladly take on the task.

Customer service culture in the UK is *very* different from customer service culture in the US. These guys are actually great - very dry and funny on the phone, very sweet about pulling all the stops out to get stuff done for us (stickers this tiny are very far from being standard), and they're making us a really good product at a really good price. And they complain, but that's just Britain. I'm very happy with them, and it's nice to support British business, especially in the north of England (and to provide employment for the poor sods with the scissors).

If they complain too much, inform them there are much worse jobs:
- paper-clip folder
- toothpaste tube filler.
(Apologies to Marcel Gottlieb, "Rubrique-a-brac", couldn't find a pic to link)

Have you had any stickers come back with blood on?

Liz wipes all the blood off as she is going to use it to clone said poor sods and use them for envelope stuffing, box packing and other general grunt work.

Re: Got my stickers...
There's a Ray Bradbury novel about some dry cleaners cutting themselves, then losing a box of heart pills and a chicken wing in a cleaning machine, which turns out to be the ingredients for a possession spell, and the cleaning machine start cleaning people out.
Are any stickers attacking us, yet ?

Re: Got my stickers...
Just a heads up: my stickers arrived in Brazil safe and sound this afternoon. Now I have Ras-Pi stickers and an involuntary Eben autograph (what, Liz, you've been delegating again? Poor Eben)!
Re: Got my stickers...
An envelope with extra delicious stickers arrived here in the USA today. I can confirm that tasting one of these stickers may induce visions of raspberries. I'm seeing these stickers all over on my keyboards.

Post date 13 November 2011 with Customs Declaration signed by Eben
Arrived at my room 13th December 2011, so it looks like February will be the earliest I could expect to get an RPi
On the bright side, at least stuff does arrive here (eventually).

My stickers arrived
but not only did they mate during the journey but one must have had a growth spurt as well.
Eben: Maybe a little less Miracle-Gro next time?

Re: Got my stickers...
I've got some keyboard stickers on order, but I've just read in this thread about the larger, 6inch ones (Honestly, who has keyboards with keys THAT big?). Are the larger stickers still available - They don't seem to be on the shop (and can I add to my order, which is "awaiting fulfillment) .

Re: Got my stickers...
He! That is unfair! I only got small ones!
Re: Got my stickers...
The shop says sticker singular but they seem to send for an order of one out two/three small ones or a couple of large or one large and one/two small. The large one I recieved wasn't 6" but about 1.5" and the small keytop size.
I think what you receive depends on the stocks available.
