Howdy all,

For the lucky few who have collected the pre-built LDXE or Gnome images...

ICEAffinity is a cool little Windows app which will allow you to tie your QEMU app to a specific CPU core:
http://www.ice-graphics.com/IC.....ndexE.html

Drop the app in the smae directory and add 'iceaffinity 4' to the head of the QEMU command line.

The first argument is a bitmask of available CPUs. '4' tells ICEAffinity to use CPU core number three on my quad core laptop. (1, 2, 4, 8)

What's the different between that and setting affinity in the task manager?

You can launch with an affinity already set. Also, you can automate it via batch file/shortcut.

It looks like <emercer> is a convert!

I will typically have several VMs running at the same time for networking demos.

I don't want to have to remember which app goes with which core.

Works great for me!
