OS Question/Poll

Mon Nov 13, 2017 4:03 am

Hello everyone!
Just a quick poll for those of us interested in such thins. Namely:

What OS did you install/work with on your Raspberry Pi?
Feel free to comment on why you chose the OS you did.

NOOBS is not an actual OS. It's an OS installer. It can used to install any of several OSes, not just Raspbian.

"on your Raspberry Pi" in the singular doesn't really work for me because I don't know how many Pis I have, several dozen.

So you need another option to choose "all of the above" or similar. Lately I've been using some Raspbian LITE and also RISC.

Retropie and PiNet are not Linux Distros, they are both a collection of software using Raspbian as their base

A stupid poll which is totally pointless.
