Hey. I tried the aforementioned method, but it didn’t work. I got no error message, only a white minecraft window with nothing running. Could you give it a try and tell me your results?

What Minecraft version is this? I've got the same problem by starting Minecraft 1.0 and 1.1 with the launcher(Yes, that's possible, newer versions are not possible to be started in the launcher

I tried this but it keeps saying 'unsatisfied link error' even though I did step 7 and 8 multiple times.

Are you after this specific version 1.8.9 ? Have you seen the new 1.12.1 tutorial ?

When do you get the error ? Are you on Raspbian Stretch ? Did glxgears work at 60fps ?

That could be caused from spelling mistakes. I had the same probloem until I discovered the mistake

I get the Unsatisfied Link Error when I try to play mineraft using the launcher.

Play Minecraft by entering:

Code: Select all

cd Minecraft
./run.sh

There is a link to a run script somewhere in this thread that will connect to servers. Alternatively the 1.12.1 tutorial connects to servers.

I followed the steps in @Sindybad's tutorial on the first page and I keep getting the message
"Error: Could not find or load main class net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch"
and nothing happens. If anyone knows how to fix this please do :D

Are you after 1.8.9 specifically ? My instructions for 1.12.1 include Optifine (link at top of first page).

Please help

I have poured over this thread over and over and I am stuck on this:

Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM warning: Using incremental CMS is deprecated and will likely be removed in a future release
Error: Could not find or load main class net.minecraft.client.main.Main

I have followed the steps to the best of my knowledge but clearly I am doing something wrong...

I am running pi3
I have version Oracle 8 for java
I have tried using version 1.8.9 in the minecraft launcher under edit profile
my glx gears are running around 38 fps but I saw someone else said they got it to work around this rate
I have updated my login info in the .sh file and put " " around my password because of a special character
....and I am almost ready to give up

So I digress, Please help

Are you running the latest Raspbian Stretch ? glxgears should be close to 60fps, are you using an hdmi screen and decent psu?

Did you edit anything other than username and password in the run.sh. The script in the tutorial is specific to version 1.8.9.

Any reason your not using the 1.12 tutorial?
