Hey,
Just got the email letting me know my pi has shipped. Decided it was time to get the parts I'll need when it comes in. I've found/have everything suggested except for a power supply.
I see the recommended specs for the power supply are 5v and 1000mA. I live in the us, and have been searching the internet for a reliable 5v 1000mA power supply, but haven't been able to find anything promising.
I was wondering if I could get suggestions for currently working ones. I don't want to get this thing in the mail and blow it up because I bought an off brand that said 5v when it really was 6v. Again, I live in the US, so any suggestions will need to be a NA standard plug (I believe they are known as NEMA).
Thanks!

Ah! I was hoping there would be a liststevepdp wrote:You can find a pretty large list of confirmed working power supplies here, many of which fall into the 5v 1000mA range

Thank you very much!

Re: Good power supply?
You could also power your Pi from a powered USB hub:

This PSU from RS delivers 1.2A, which I find quite interesting:

(I guess you will find the NEMA plug equivalent on Allied Electronics site).

That's the PS I'm using. They were out of stock when I received my Pi last week, but they were back in stock last Friday and I ordered one.Salamander wrote: This PSU from RS delivers 1.2A, which I find quite interesting:
