Letterbox - wodden case for 8:3 aspect ratio TFT

Just wanted to show a few pics of my 'Letterbox' size case for a Raspberry 3 computer. I'm sure you guys know the slogan "form follows function", but this is my attempt for combining both of them into one.

The displays aspect ratio is 8:3

Case is milled from plywood and black FR4. Did not consider 'design aspects' that much that's why joints were visible.

Rear view showing the RPi 3.Adding a back cover is possible, but I think I will ommit it for easy access to the RPI's USB interfaces. The USB mouse will be replaced by mini keyboard+touchpad with Bluetooth.

Circular would be preferred, but since there is no MIPI on the Raspberry which I could use (DSI firmware is still closed source) no way of connecting both parts together ..

Hi,
the display is LQ123K3LG01 from Sharp (refer to http://www.sharp.co.jp/products/device/ ... 1509_j.pdf for some general info, more spec info is i.e. here https://www.sharpsde.com/products/displ ... roductview).

I'm using my own LVDS add-on board for this - refer to viewtopic.php?p=1023780#p1023780 for more information.
