Pi Zero Feasability

I, am new to Raspberry Pi. I'm not going to lie. So I have a project that I'm doing with the CHIP(the one from the kickstarter) and to complete the project, I need the help of another microcomputer. I've looked at the Arduino Uno, and it has been the leader of what I was going to buy as the one, but then I remembered the Zero, and noticed its significantly smaller footprint, as well as the lower price(at the cost of availability). So all I'm asking for is for someone to verify my inference, and perhaps voice any snags I may have missed. So I'm trying to add a SainSmart monitor that I had lying around to it via its GPIO pins. I've seen it done with the Pi2, but that was with the DSI pins, and I'm just going to guess there's a slight difference between how these two pin types behave. I'll put the link to the monitor below, and all I'm asking is: Will It work with only some fiddling with the driver?

My CHIP's have not arrived yet, and yes, with an appropriate driver you could drive an SPI display from a Pi Zero, and talk to that from the CHIP... but my question is... why not just do the driver fiddling on the CHIP and add the SPI display to it?

Mind you, adding a Pi supported display hat, or an HDMI TFT LCD, will give you more possibilities
