Pi Academy in Malaysia

I am interested to be a certified trainer and to start a Pi Academy in Malaysia.

Intention is to setup a centre to train teachers and students on computer science, raspberry pi and programming.

Anyone here could advise who in Pi Academy UK or Raspberry Pi Foundation I should contact? And are there any plans to reach out beyond UK and US? If not, how can I help?

Picademy is currently only available in the UK and US. We don't currently have plans to start spreading the approach to other parts of the world, although it's something that we'd like to do in future.

In the meantime, sign up to the education newsletter here:

You can also find lots of free resources for teachers and students here:

It's been a year since my the last post.

Phil, I just want to let you know I am still having the same intention of having Pi Academy in Malaysia, or even around Asia. Last year there were no plans by the Foundation. I hope this year or next there will be. Just know I am still waiting. :D

We grew frustrated at having to tell people that we didn’t have plans to provide Picademy in their region in the foreseeable future, so we decided to find a way to reach educators around the world with a more accessible training format.

We’re delighted to announce a new way for people to learn about digital making from Raspberry Pi: two free online CPD training courses, available anywhere in the world.

Hi ,everyone , I have been following raspberrypi from 2012 as a retired man.I have introduced the Pi to one school in Malacca in a sort of "mini pijam "in 2015 .Mostly following alone with Pi Forum as help , I have a few pi1 and a few pi3 to full around.Currently I just make a simple spy camera which sends email to me via wifi; also I am using the VNC at home plus I am stuck in Piserver project at getting the pi3 client to function instead of log in to the pi3 client in the piserver.0126818672 raspberrytan

I am an avid fan of the Raspberry PI, and recently I have setup a Raspberry Pi Academy using Google Classroom, here in the United States.

I would like to become Pi Certified, but there are no Pi Academies in my area. And I was told to first setup a Raspberry Jam. I did that as well.

I am a 35-year IT veteran, and have started a Youth Organization called WeFixIT. Our website is

I'm not sure where to go next....we are using our Raspberry Pi'3's for all sorts of Projects.

I am also a Credentialed CTE Teacher back here in the States, and I am stationed in California. (where there are no Pi Academies)

Is this strictly for the UK only?

Hi Guys
I am from Malacca also and very interested in Arduino and Raspberry pi. I know i have been teaching my kids with raspberry pi and have done a few projects with raspberry pi in my factories such as attendance devices, remote display screen, touch screen kiosk, webcam, and recently looking tinto home automation with google assistant or alexa.
If all of you are looking into making a raspberry pi unit in malaysia i suggest that we work as a group to get this done as a central team and then we can move to towards state level. If anyone have contacts in the education ministry, this is a good ways of teaching children electronics and programmings skills.
my contacts vjsara70[at] and mobile no 016-6116289. I am currently working in Dhaka and Shanghai (Netadmin/Sap Basis) but permanent address in Cheng Melaka.
