Got the two replacement boards now...
Both look the same when plugging in....not enumerated when plugging them in....
Now trying with an RPi as host...but I assume it won't succeed....

Weird....though it also complained about read errors when plugging in the compute module on RPi the "dd" went fine this time:

First one passed the test 
Quite impressed about low current consumption with plugged in ethernet adapter and playing back a h264 movie via NFS...
not much difference between playing with omxplayer and being idle...
The current consumption was measured with GPIB from a 6632B, which also powers the dev kit...
