hi, I also design with Eagle. Would it be possible to share the .sch and the .brd files? It would be a great start to desing my own compute modules.

Hello Kridri, once i can confirm that the design i have created works and works well, I will be releasing the eagle cad files, probably via github or something.

Tx, it would be a great support for the community.

Hello, Do you think of the scheme available in Eagle? to designing a board too, and would be of great help if you would release the file... Thanks

Hey Guys,

I thought I would give an update, the Fab house have shipped my Test PCB's fully assembled, should hopefully get them next week sometime, thought I would share the pics they sent me

Lovely pictures, very professional. I was looking back to your first post in this thread.

In it's current form do you have any plans beyond getting it up and running?
What do you plan to do next?
Will you be selling them?

Fingers crossed, I'll continue to follow. ;)

Hello Cancelor,

Once i get hold of the boards I will do some testing to see on how it performs and see if there are any design changes i have to make to ensure that it will work better.

Once I know that they work I will Release the eagle cad files and maybe sell some to fund the next project I have been doing while I wait for the boards to come. So to answer your questions, yes I have a plan :D secondly I hope to sell some to fund the main plan, as you can see it gets quite expensive if your doing small runs.

So keep an eye on the compute thread for further updates from me :D

and again feedback is more than welcome.

I can't wait to see the final test and that you will release the schematics.

* If you would ship to Belgium i would't buy some of the boards.

Thanks for the support guys, it is much appreciated :D, as with prices and posting I will try and keep the prices reasonable and the postage might be expensive due to me living in Australia and distance to Europe.

Hello Esquerbatua,

Yes I have had a look at kickstarter and I will do it at some stage but first i would like to start small and see on how the market responds first.

Hey Guys,

I thought I would let you know that the PCB's have arrived.

I used what i had on hand to give a visual representation on the relative size of the board and I will say in real life it is roughly 100mm x ~40mm so its smallish to say the least :P

Ok guys, to give you all an update, i was able to do some testing over the weekend and well in terms of power management I will have to go back to the drawing board as the linear regulator for the 1v8 rail was fluctuating quite badly thus not able to sufficiently power the CM properly and wasn't able to boot properly. at this stage most of everything else I did looks correct so I will just change the USB connection and the power management and go on from there

live and learn  :P :D

Hey, great to read the progress you have made, I would also be interested in the designs for this when it's up and working!

Yeah I wasn't far away  but word to the wise, copy part for part the power management from the CMIO board! It will save a headache in future :P

Hey guys, I thought I would post an update to let you know that i am still working on the project :D but it has been a little slow over the last few days as i had a small car accident which took the fun out of last week. I have essentially started from scratch again power management wise as well as having to create an eagle library for the PAM2306 chip as there isn't one available for it (hope it works too ) so keep an eye out for further updates :D and i hope you guys haven't lost interest in it yet

Sorry to hear about your accident, glad you're OK enough to keep working though!
Definitely not lost interest, look forward to your next post :)
