Hello
I'm looking at using COMPUTE MODULE 3 in one of our Products. What will be the life time availability of this board? Is there any assurance that this board will be supplied for the next 10 years?

Any information on end of life/obsolescence appreciated

It's in the datasheet, but for brevity, we will be selling the same device (within reason) until at least 2023 (IIRC). So 6 years.

We would welcome some feedback though, in to why you need 10 years, as that is useful in determining product plans.

Thanks James, I missed reading this piece of information in the datasheet.
The long time availability is mainly driven by our Customer.

We are currently working on documentation for the planned manufacturing life of the various models. Still early days though, but will appear on the website in due course.

Is there any more information on this? I'm wanting to make a recommendation to a client to use the CM3, but they are concerned about how long it will be available.

Replying to my own post...

I found the answer I was looking for here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... CM_2p0.pdf

They say all versions of the compute module will be produced until at least Jan 2023.
