CM3L emmc help

So i ordered some emmc from mouser and installed it on the compute module 3l but the emmc won't boot i am using a wd smart connect and media stick and both unit shows the same line of boot code in rpi boot but on the emmc i installed the terminal just exit and doesnt mount even though it says successful read 4 bytes. the emmc im using is a sandisk 5.0 wich the spec say its bc compatible with emmc 4.5 which is what the compute module uses is there anything else that needs to be done? or is the chip somehow not seated right?

I'm pretty sure you've had a look at the schematics and figured out already that it's not only the presence of the eMMC which makes the difference between CM3 and CM3L.

If not, please do so and you will note that some more components are different.
