Altium project files for IO Board

Tue Mar 31, 2015 11:14 am

Hi

Is there any Altium (or any similar design tool) files for the Computer Module IO Board? I intend to design a new modifeis IO board and this would be very helpful.

Thanks

You need Cadence Allegro/OrCAD :

• Don't like the board ? Missing features ? Change to the prosilver theme ! You can find it in your settings.
• Don't like to search the forum BEFORE posting 'cos it's useless ? Try googling : yoursearchtermshere site:raspberrypi.org

This third-party project only needs CadSoft Eagle :

Just to let you know that it is a 4 layer Board so it may not open on the free version of Eagle.

It should open, but the free version won't let you change the extra 2 layers IIRC.

Hi all.
We got all files for Altium Designer 18+ ready for Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3.
Those include:

Project file (*.PrjPCB)
PCB Libraries (*.PcbLib) sorted by manufacturer (this way used in our company for many years - internally):
* All 3D representations for each and every component
* All FootPrints for every and each component
Schematic Libraries (*.SchLib) (Full schematic of Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3 with linking to all of our libraries included)
(All schematics divided in blocks by functionality)

Components in Libraries linked to Mouser or/and Digikey.
Availability of components confirmed by May 2018

*.PcbDoc file (actual PCB layout) is not included because of the fact that the original layout is public and anyone who will need this complex Altium library with all included libraries will use it to create his/her own custom PCB anyway.

Library is fully ready for those who like to directly start own PCB - design process.
You will need only to create own PCB file and start to make your own custom motherboard (logic board) for Compute Module 3.

The design process of your custom PCB while using our Library will be as following:
1) Creating own PcbDoc file (Don't forget to define amount of layers etc.)
2) Compile PcbProject (optional)
3) Update PCB Document
4) Place components the way you need
5) Start actual routing

This library was originally designed for professional internal use only.

INFO:
We did an experiment with Indigogo ,
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/alti ... ute-module
just to test our suspicions regarding how this system such like (Indigogo etc.) truly works and not how people believe it to work. Result of this experiment confirmed each of our thoughts.

Nevertheless : This library is created to be free.

So if you need this full library, please let me know and i will release it.
You can see all screenshots of library content etc. here:

Contact me if you need this library.

Thank you and have a nice day!

I'm also very interested in the files!
Will we get the files immediately if we back the indiegogo?

Hello dear all,
here you can find released link for free download of the library:
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/alti ... ute-module

You are not forced to back us up in anyway, however we would highly appreciate if anyone back us up.
We would be also very happy to get your feedback at indiegogo, github or via email regrading library if any bugs found.
Just today, on 01.06.2018 we corrected few things in library and released it updated.

We apologize for a delayed reply, too many work recent weeks.

Thanks for everything and enjoy the library as we enjoyed to create it.
