RPi CM4 IO board - Looking for DIN case

Tue Jun 15, 2021 3:29 pm

Hello all,

I am looking for a din case in which the RPi CM4 IO board fits (https://datasheets.raspberrypi.org/cm4i ... asheet.pdf)
Did search Google and surprisingly I was not able to find one :-(.

So I hope that you can help me finding this din case as I am pretty sure they are out there.

Thanks in advance,
DeBuffel

So far there is none (at least I haven't seen one yet)
Get this https://www.waveshare.com/cm4-io-board-case-a.htm and add rhe rail mount of your choice.

Thanks, that helps me to get started.

It is a petty is that the PCB of the CM4 IO board is dimensioned as 900(mm) x 1600(mm).
The DIN case I found have a width of 89.8(mm)... grrr

The metal case as you posted sounds like a good alternative. Now I need to see where to get a rail mount which is easily to place at the back of the metal case. Suggestions are welcome :-)

I've got a thing called a Sourcekit Pitray clip on my desk, which is a stainless bracket for the Pi with a DIN rail connector.

Trying to find it on the net....it might be a new product that hasn't been advertised yet.

well, using google seems to be an issue sometimes, so if I were you I would google for 'DIN rail mount kit' which brings up stuff like

don't ask me how to make holes in the metal chassis...

good find! Looks like a lower profile and one should be sufficient for the case anyhow. Issue might become removing it from the rail as I don't see how this one locks. As it will be hidden behind the CM4IO case you may have to develop some innovative idea..
